Missing DVDs
Some DVDs I have been unable to find, or with wrong region/format, poor production...

Submission
Hrafninn flýgur
(There seems to be a version
that is copied from a VHS with Swedish subtitles.
And the Russian Полет ворона)
Now
on sale from Iceland. Rather expensive, though. And payable by SWIFT only. I don't trust SWIFT.

Professione: reporter
Witheld because the execution is real?
Would that matter in these Al-Jazeera days?
Sorry guys, I don't even remember your execution.
Maybe it was removed by the Norwegian Censor.

Black Mass in Krakow
is a Gorgoroth concert DVD. It is missing because
the master tapes were seized by Polish religious police in a raid on the set.
(Lesson learned: feed a live stream to a backup recorder in a free country.) Gorgoroth members and others
now risk up to 5 years in prison for blasphemy. And because blasphemy is a crime in Norway too, they do risk
extradition to Poland. But 5 years is not that bad, Jesus was executed on the same charges.
Carving a Giant is a shorter remake.
This time with footrests for the models, to avoid fainting. But censorship got the last laugh:
On Headbanger's Ball on MTV Nordic, the naked torsos are blurred. This is a Scandinavian TV channel, Scandinavia is were nobody
makes a fuss about full frontal nudity in a children's movie. While Madonna's Justify My Love was banned on MTV in USA,
it was on heavy rotation on MTV Europe. But maybe MTV has centralized the censoring since then?

Twin Peaks

Selkvinnen (Kópakonan)
I believe I saw the seventh screening of this one. The first five were at Klingenberg, the sixth at Cinemateket, and no 7 at
Nordens hus in Tórshavn. On the other hand, the copy did look rather worn
when I saw it on Faroese TV the other day.
